​Library Cataloguer – Temporary for 6 months – London

We have a 6 month temporary contract for a library professional, which is focused on cataloguing and preparing a collection of books.

Typical job responsibilities will include the cataloguing of books, including some historical books and journals, preparing and repackaging materials into boxes to organise the collection.

This contract would suit someone with a Library and Information degree, or with significant equivalent experience, to include practical experience of standard library cataloguing work.

Alternatively, you may have cataloguing experience gained during your Library and Information Studies degree qualification, at a minimum.

Experience cataloguing using UDC would be ideal, tho experience with other similar library classification schemes is also desirable.

You will be able to work under your own initiative, maintaining attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on your own as well as part of a small team.

This is a 6 month temporary job vacancy, and the hourly rate is negotiable.

Candidates available either for 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, or those with a part-time preference can also be considered on a 4 days per week basis.
