Lee Seymour
Director of Recruitment
I have worked in recruitment for over 20 years, including the last 16 for TFPL. Looking back, after 4 wonderful, socially fulfilling years at Glasgow University, I travelled around the world for a year and a half before finding my first ‘proper job’ in recruitment in 1997. Based in lovely Winchester, I recruited IT contractors to work for IBM’s UK projects before accepting an offer to move to Sydney, Australia for 3 years, again working in IT recruitment.
I joined TFPL in 2003, when it was a family run business based in Farringdon providing Knowledge, Records and Information Management consultancy, training and recruitment services, and immediately enjoyed working in a real specialist, niche industry.
As Associate Director at TFPL I work with our corporate client base, and candidates equally, to ensure all their Knowledge and Information Management recruitment requirements are successfully met. We are specialists by discipline, recruiting for a wide variety of Knowledge Management, Records Management and Information Governance, Research and Information Management, and Archives job roles of all levels, across the UK and abroad. Our clients range from major law firms to management and strategy consultancies, financial and all sorts of professional services firms. I pride myself on the close candidate relationships I have built up and it has been a pleasure to work in such a nice, rewarding and close-knit sector over the last 16+ years. I think this has been fundamental to our great success over a long period. I provide clients and candidates with an in-depth knowledge of our specialist market, and have also spoken at industry conferences, lectures, open days and other events.

Catch 22 & Top Gun, which takes me right back to my last year at Lancing College.

The reaction from a candidate when they get a job that can change their life or career.
If you won the lottery what treat would you buy yourself?
Most immediately, a beach holiday on which I could plan lots of future holidays, which would include attending lots of great sporting events, from the Olympics to following England sports teams around the world, especially England rugby and British Lions tours, the next cricket tour of the Caribbean…and so on and so on.
